Providing relief for your pain

Neck and shoulder pain

You may have had a car accident, suffered whiplash and sometime later you developed migraines and headaches. Or perhaps you have been breastfeeding your baby and have now developed a tight neck and shoulders. Or do you work behind a computer and have accumulated stress in the neck and shoulder region?

Fertility

You've been trying to conceive for a number of years and have been unsuccessful even though there's no structural abnormality. Acupuncture can help you gain the balance to give you a greater chance to conceive naturally. The measure of success is often a successful conception, however a healthy baby and a healthy mother are more common sense goals that are often overlooked. Acupuncture can help with this.

Acupuncture has also been shown to increase IVF success rates and many IVF clinics now recommend Acupuncture treatments as a compliment to the IVF process.

Sports acupuncture

Not only can acupuncture help heal your sporting injuries, it can also help with injury prevention and can be used as a natual alternative to sports performance enhancement by encouraging your body to perform at its peak capacity.

Pregnancy

Morning sickness and back pain are frequently experienced with pregnancy and can be effectively relieved with acupuncture. Studies have shown acupuncture to be more effective than no intervention in turning breech babies. Acupuncture is also increasingly being used to naturally induce labour in an attempt to avoid more drastic measures.

Why Camden Acupuncture?

Your comfort is one of our top priorities and for this reason we study and practice a Japanese style of acupuncture. Most people are familiar with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which is the standard learning framework for acupuncture world wide. There is nothing wrong with TCM, it can achieve great results and if you are happy with those results then please stay with your current practitioner. So how does the Japanese style differ? For one, the main technique we use for diagnosis is palpation (gaining information through touch). By using palpation your body can signal which are the best treatments points for you at this moment in time. Other aspects that differentiate a Japanese style of acupuncture is user of finer needles than those in used TCM and there is also a lack of the strong and vigorous manipulation techniques often seen in TCM.

Camden Acupuncture is a good choice if you would like affordable treatments that are conducted in a timely manner. We offer affordable prices as we are well aware that in most instances it will take a number of treatments to have significant improvement. Whilst we aim to give immediate improvement on your first consultation we are also aware of the reality that natural healing takes time. We keep the cost down as well as the length of the consultation so you are able to comfortably approach a healing schedule.

Perhaps you have seen a number of other therapists (possibly even acupuncturists) but feel that they have not directly addressed your complaint. At Camden Acupuncture we pinpoint your main area of complaint and specifically focus on providing relief to this area. However, we will always take into account the root cause of the condition. If a tree has dry wilted leaves, you water the root, not the leaves.
